Hello family!

Things are going great in D.C. I’m halfway through my clerkship with Judge John Fisher on the D.C. Court of Appeals. I’ve worked on a felony murder case, a domestic violence case, an Internet free speech case, and many others. I’ve been dating a handsome man named Alberto Roldan for the past six

Red Alert!

I write this with one hand on the wheel, the other comforting Michelle’s contracting body, while we speed toward the hospital on the most important race of our lives thus far, after suffering through contractions 5 minutes apart, and 1 minute long for the last hour. Never have I seen such bravery as I now

Diane is a Juris Doctor

Today was Diane’s graduation from Stanford Law School. Not only is it Diane’s last day at Stanford campus, but it will be our last graduation until one of the grandkids finishes! It was a great ceremony, with some great speeches. And Diane was very happy. Here are some photos

New Baby

Here’s our new little baby. You can see her right hand and fingers, a side view of her head, and her heart(that black blob in her chest). She should arrive around September 24th.

Baileys conquer Angel’s Landing

Anyone who has visited Zion National Park will remember Angel’s Landing, a razor-thin mountain of rock that juts up above the Big Bend, across the river from the Great White Throne and the Weeping Rock Waterfall. In one of the first explorations of Zion Canyon in 1916, Frederick Fisher exclaimed, “only an angel could land
