Recently Chrissy, together with her friend Kristin, hiked the High Sierra Trail to the top of Mt Whitney, and then north through Sequoia National Park and Inyo National Forest. Their hike started at Crescent Meadow Trailhead, on the west side of Sequoia National Park, then about 60 miles east to Mt Whitney, then north about 25 miles before exiting to a trailhead on the east side of the Sierras near US 395.
