I am in Paris to give a talk at a one-day mathematical conference devoted to the memory of Jonathan Borwein. Here are a few photos. I will take some more Saturday, when I plan to tour the Fountainebleau, a palace about 20 miles southwest of downtown Paris.

Paris and colleague Olivier Oloa at the Paris Opera House.

Column (built by Napoleon) at the Place Vendome.

Renoir lived in this house from 1897 to 1902.

Pool at the Tuileries Gardens.

DHB at the Louve.

The Seine between the North Bank and Isle de France.

Notre Dame, of course.

This is the Pantheon, where numerous French notables are buried — Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, etc.

This is Fountainebleau, about 30 miles from Paris, which was a castle retreat for level of the Louis kings and Marie Atoinette, among others.
