David and Ray Engstrom backpack in Desolation Wilderness

Ray Engstrom and I just returned from a very enjoyable backpacking trip to the Desolation Wilderness, starting from the Echo Lake trailhead (near summit of Highway 50, a few miles from South Lake Tahoe). Here are some photos.
